The theme will be Red Hot and Rolling at Artistic Portland’s First Thursday (http://www.firstthursdayportland.com) Gallery Art Walk on July 7, 2016 between 4-7 p.m. The art community will be celebrating its second year at the SW Taylor Street location, and many of the artists will be welcoming patrons to visit and answer any questions they might have about their art.
Special guest Eastside Distilling will be offering a selection of their award-winning, handcrafted rums, vodkas and whiskeys. Light refreshments will be provided as well.
In addition to finished art, the Co-op also offers art classes in July including Crayon Meditation by Ben Gilbert (7/13), Introduction to Weaving (7/14 and 7/28) by Sherry Bingaman, and Landscape Photography by Peter Phu Ho (7/16 and 7/30).
The artists’ co-operative initially opened its doors in the Hollywood District in May 2013 and subsequently the 50 artists expanded to its current 2,700 sq. ft. location at 318 SW Taylor Street in Downtown Portland on June 1, 2015.
