LIQUID SCULPTURE II; Martin Waugh Photography Exhibit at i witness gallery (Housed in the Northwest Center for Photography)

July 6, 2012 from 6pm to 9pm
Join Martin for the opening reception of his photography exhibit, Liquid Sculpture II.  Martin says, "My Liquid Sculpture images are fluids in motion, frozen in time by a flash of lightning. We connect with it on all levels from the primeval to the spiritual. From our primordial beginnings to our prenatal environment to our very constitution, it is us."I…See More

Opening Reception - Susan de Witt's FABRICATION exhibit at i witness gallery (located in Portland's historical SE district)

March 2, 2012 from 6pm to 9pm
Susan de Witt says, “Serendipity plays a part when I print with lith chemicals. Often unrepeatable results appear before me on the paper, results that excite me in their unpredictability. I appreciate the pen-and-ink-drawing quality that lith provides me; reality disappears from the page, bringing forth an illusion for the viewer, a misrepresentation of accuracy.  All of my composites are done in the darkroom, where absurdity takes precedence over actuality.” “My exhibit at i witness gallery…See More

May 25, 2013 from 12pm to 4pm
Our Saturday Imbibing tour is a good mix of learning about beer and the brewing process and having a great time. The tour visits four different Portland breweries, but we only get one, very detailed tour of the brewing facility led by a brewer. Our first spot is Coalition, a small 10 barrel brewery in the inner SE where we taste their handcrafted, highly drinkable beers that reflect traditional brewing techniques and NW innovation.
